Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 April 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the L.E.O. (Local Expedition Organizer) website, account system, and related digital products and services (collectively, the Services) offered by the operator of leoapp.eu (“we,” “us”). By creating an account, accessing the Services, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & cancellation policy.
If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The Services
L.E.O. is a tabletop and prep-tooling experience that runs primarily offline or locally in your environment (including browser storage and device storage). The Services may also include a hosted account and related backend features, premium content, and/or subscriptions as described on our website.
We may update, add, or withdraw features, subject to your statutory rights and any separate product description at checkout where applicable.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate account information, keep it current, and protect your password and credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account, except where our systems are demonstrably at fault. You may not use another person’s account or sell or transfer an account in violation of these Terms. You must be old enough in your country to form a binding contract (or have parental or guardian permission where required).
4. Purchases and payment — Polar
We sell or license digital products (including licenses, unlocks, and subscriptions) as described in our checkout. Payments for goods sold through L.E.O. are processed by Polar (our payment and billing provider), unless we say otherwise in the purchase flow. By completing a purchase, you also accept Polar’s buyer/payment terms and related policies as they apply to that transaction, in addition to these Terms and to our refund & cancellation policy.
We and our payment provider will process personal data in connection with the transaction as set out in our Privacy Policy and the provider’s documentation.
5. License to the product
When you rightfully receive a key or right to our digital product, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable (if you breach these Terms) license to use the product for your own purposes, as permitted by the product description, these Terms, and the applicable purchase (e.g. one-time license vs. subscription). You may not copy, rent, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except to the limited extent required by law), or distribute the product in violation of this license.
6. Subscriptions and renewals
Where a subscription is offered, billing period, renewal, and cancellation are as shown at checkout and in the billing customer portal, unless we publish a specific exception. When you cancel, you typically retain access until the end of the then-current paid period. Unpaid or cancelled periods are not a separate grant of a perpetual license to paid materials beyond what you already own.
7. Content you create
You retain your rights in content you create in L.E.O. (maps, settings, your text). You must not use the Services to build or distribute content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or is abusive. We may act on abuse reports or to comply with law, including removing access where proportionate and permitted.
8. Intellectual property
The Services, the L.E.O. name, branding, software, and our premium and marketing materials, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws, except for third-party components (including open or credited materials) as noted in our credits or product documentation. No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms or a license you purchase.
9. Warranties and disclaimer
Except as required by law (including mandatory consumer guarantees that cannot be limited), the Services and digital products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including as to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. We do not guarantee operation on every device, browser, or system configuration.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services (in any calendar year) is limited to the amount you paid us in that year for the Services directly in dispute, or, if you had no such payment, fifty (50) euros (EUR) where such a cap is valid in your jurisdiction. This does not apply where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. certain gross negligence, willful misconduct, or mandatory consumer law).
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify the operator, its contributors, and partners from third-party claims or damages to the extent caused by (a) your use of the Services in breach of these Terms, or (b) content you import or create that infringes others’ rights, in each case where permitted and enforceable in your country.
12. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or end access to the Services or your account if you materially breach these Terms, for legal or security reasons, or if a payment or refund partner requires it. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (e.g. license limits, IP, limitations of liability to the extent allowed) will survive termination.
13. Governing law and consumers
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the L.E.O. operator is established, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your country of residence in the EEA, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions that cannot be waived by contract. Courts or mandatory consumer procedures in your home country may still apply to certain disputes, depending on the law. Dispute resolution: contact support@leoapp.eu first; for payment-specific issues, you may also use the channels your payment provider provides.
14. Changes
We may post updated Terms. Material changes for existing users will, where the law so requires, be communicated in a visible way. Continued use of the Services after the effective date can constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to your statutory rights.
